What a long day! After leaving here at 10:15 for ENT visit at Memorial... a walk away.... we finally got back at 1:30PM!
Long Story Short:
Alex will not be getting his trach downsized as he has scar tissue that has built up and tissue is very swollen with a very small opening for his airway. He will have to keep this trach in until his last cranioplasty and then we will schedule a surgery to laser the scar tissue and go from there. We aren't sweating the small stuff.. no worries here... no big deal..... ALEX IS ALIVE AND BREATHING!
Today has been pretty much shot with therapy since we got back from our dr. visit and he has been sleeping since we got back.
Will blog later if anything new comes about or if he does any tricks for us :0)
