Thank you for everyone that prayed for Alex to cough on his own, because he did! It was very important that he do this, because it shows that his brain knows that he needs to clear his airway.
The other big thing about today was that Alex opened his eyes a few times when we were talking to him. The best part about it was that he was following our voices, and he would blink at times when we were asking him questions!!!
We also got a thumbs up! At one point when we were talking to Alex, we asked him to give us a thumbs up, and he did it!
Today was a great day, but it was a hard day. With all of these signs that Alex is waking up, it is also creating a lot of stress and confusion for Alex. So, we need everyone to pray for peace.
Tonight and tomorrow morning are going to be very important, so please keep Alex in your prayers.
We are not out of the woods yet, but we know that God is in control. So, thank you for all of your prayers and support during this time.
