NEXT SURGERY SCHEDULED : First Week of April

We had our appt today with Dr. Vitarbo....whom I LOVE and trust completely.... but that made our therapy schedule really light so I have no big tricks for today!  He did do some walking with that machine again this morning...but we all know he can do it so it's not a new trick, lol!

Great visit with Vitarbo today... stitches came out and we discussed the scheduling of the cranioplasty.  Being that Alex's 17th birthday is on the 30th of this month, I want him to be able to enjoy it somewhat.  If we schedule  the surgery within the next two weeks, we know that after the surgery he will be at Shands for atleast 5 days after that.  I don't want him to be recovering from another brain surgery and not being able to eat cake or open presents so I have decided to wait until AFTER his birthday. Big question is.... if we will be discharged from Brooks by then or not. Either way... Alex will have one of the best birthdays ever!!  His homecoming party will not be until he is DISCHARGED fully to go home for good so stay tuned for the time, date and place because we want that to be HUGE!

So after my visit today.... I realize we still have a long road ahead of us and still need all of your prayers for Alex's healing to continue thru the next surgery and after.

He is still the same ole crazy kid we all know and love and continues to make us laugh and comes up with the craziest stories. He went into the lunch room with his hands in the air "raising the roof" and said..."the parties here"...hahahaha. He is too funny! He makes funny faces and does a hillbilly face that is priceless. He continues to flirt with ANY NEW FEMALE that enters the room, posing and blowing kisses. To get mine and Randi's attention he will shake and rattle the bed or slap the bed rail and he thinks it's HILARIOUS. I think he does it just to see how fast he can get us to come running! He has kinda figured out that he has the upper hand right now... little stinker.  Alex just called me over to the bed and wanted me to tell ya'll that he likes... "3muskateers, snack pack vanilla pudding, vanilla milkshakes and money" hahahahahahaha!  I have witnesses, lol!

Tomorrow I am hoping for great accomplishments as his regular physical therapist Miss Jenny will be back and he is used to her.  Best news is.... she doesn't even know he is really moving his left leg!!!  TOMORROW WILL BE A GREAT DAY!

Signing off for now... they have come in to take Alex for his shower!  Stay tuned for tomorrows great news... I feel it in my bones!

PEACE~LOVE~N~THUMBS UP!!
